How to Seek Guidance from our Spiritual Guides

Believe it or not, we all have our own spiritual guides who take us through our life from the beginning to its end. Listening to them and following their advice at a time when you are at any crossroad of life is the best favors that you can do to yourself. 

Why some of us do not feel them is because we do not stop by to listen.  When we talk of the terms like intuition, consciousness, higher self or Angels we are actually referring to these guides. 

One of the reasons why most do not ask the guides for guidance is because we feel that they have guided us wrongly at some point or the other.  By this, I mean that maybe you feel that at some point in your life, your intuition has lead you to a wrong juncture. 

Or so you feel.

Therefore, the first thing that one has to understand is to have faith. 
If you have been feeling let down at sometime then try to look at it as a way which probably was the best for you. After all, how do you know what is in store in the future! 
 
So how does one go about seeking guidance from your spiritual guides? One such method is to follow these steps -
  • Start believing and let go of your doubting belief systems that are in place.
  • Go into a deep meditative state or “Yoga Nitra” and invoke your guide. It could be in the form of bright light with a face to it or someone you know or a deity you worship (the important thing to remember is that you have to visualize this guide every time you want to seek the guidance).
  • Give your guide a name; something by which you would address him/her.
  • Ask your guide the question that you want it has to be ONLY ONE question in that session (you can think of it before getting into the meditative state so that it comes easily) 
  • Look at the image of your guide and after asking the question; say “Please give me the answer and the solution at the appropriate time”.
  • Take the blessings of your guide and let the image fade away slowly.
  • Continue into meditative state for some time and slowly get up thereafter.
That is it.
You will get your answers when the appropriate time comes; have full faith and follow this routine regularly for some days.

Why is a Reiki Attunement Necessary?

I was asked this question by a youngster yesterday.

It's a fairly common  thought that comes to the mind; after all who attuned Mikao Usui?

​He got the knowledge of Reiki all by himself, isn't it?

So do we need to be attuned?


And my answer was like this -

Frankly, we don't require attunement. After all isn't it  this a universal life energy and available to all? So why do you have to attend a Reiki class and receive initiation?

So we DO NOT "need" an attunement BUT I strongly recommend it.
As a teacher, I have initiated many students and I feel it's a singularly beautiful and divine experience for both the teacher as well as the receiver.

The reactions of the students are always good as they really feel the power of the divine energy entering them. Every student feels greatly touched by this universal energy.

There are two important aspects to this-

1.   In a practical  realm, Initiations are  the easiest and best way to feel the divine connection to the Spirit. The only other way is a long term meditation, just as Mikao Usui did. A tough call that!

2.  In the divine  realm, initiation opens up many doors  by this sacred ritual. The master passes on the divine spark of Reiki thru him/her and what can be better than that?

It is akin to lighting a lamp from another lamp and it's a process that increases the overall luminosity.

With this in mind, taking the attunement is your call.
If you feel upto it, go ahead, choose a Reiki master you are drawn to and who you think is sincere to get the initiated  and unlock the doors to this divine abundance .

Using Self-Hypnosis for Achievement of Goals

Hypnosis is a therapeutic tool, which when used properly, can be used to overcome emotional, psychological and physical health problems.
 
There are many misconceptions about hypnotism which arise from having half the knowledge as well as from the various stage shows and movies in which the hypnotist seems to control the behavior of people.  While some of us may be thinking of it as some sort of magic mantra, it is far from so.  It is definitely not something to brainwash anyone or control anybody’s mind.
 
It is in fact just a state of heightened suggestibility and your mind is fully in control.
 
Uses of Self hypnosis
 
Self hypnosis can help you deal with day to day problems by modifying your emotions, attitudes, and behavior. It also helps you overcome habits like smoking, over-eating drinking, etc. It can also be used to enhance performance in any sporting activities and events like doing well in studies.
 
Post-Hypnotic Suggestions
 
First and foremost it is important to know what you want to achieve and formulate your post-hypnotic suggestions as per requirement. These should be made with full faith and should be positive and in worded in the present tense. 
 
They should also be realistic and achievable and should not harm anyone in any manner.
 
A Sample self hypnosis technique
 
After formulating the post-hypnotic suggestions follow this routine –
 
1.         Lie down on your back or sit straight in a comfortable position.
2.         Pick a point within your easy focus on the wall or the ceiling.
3.         Keep your gaze fixed on it for 3 minutes (you can blink, of course)
4.         With eyes remaining fixed on the point, take a deep breath.
5.         After holding it in momentarily, breathe out and while doing so, think of the suggestion “My eyelids are heavy and dropping and I will SLEEP NOW.”
6.         Repeat this seven times.
7.         Your eyes would have closed by now but if they have not just close them and relax. Let your body become limp.
8.         Picture the image that represents your aim or situation that you wish see yourself after achieving the goal.
9.         Make the positive suggestion as you had thought of it before starting the session. It should be done thrice silently. Something like “I am relaxed, calm and confident.” Stay with the image as visualized in step 8 above during this process and thereafter a few minutes.
10. Mentally count from one up to five and the open your eyes and slowly shake yourself out of this state.

Why do Manifestations Fail?

Are you Imagining or dreaming?
There is a subtle difference between the two.
Dreams are flashes of what we can loosely term as imagery. It is some fringe thought- often unintentional and arising from our subconscious mind.

I would like to think of it more like the result of churn that takes place in our mind all the time. When we sleep, this becomes more prominent as there is no other activity we are indulging in consciously. Dreams have no connection to reality, except that it is a memory (from the past or maybe future) that flashes itself at certain time. You are not supposed to remember it, nor think of it once you get up.

In short, dreams have no meaning.

Imagination, on the other hand, can help us achieving our goals (and dreams?). It is what we see our world as. Those who see it as a bleak one – also have a bleak existence and those who imagine their world as a happy place, seem to get happiness from the smallest of things.

It is essentially an inspirational and creative way of looking at the world. 
The power of imagination is infinite; we tend to limit it by our beliefs, and make a framework for our existence and create the reality in which we operate. 

Mistake No 1 – Limiting our beliefs
The canvas before us is vast and practically unlimited. Setting boundary is a self imposed phenomenon that occurs due to social and cultural preconceptions that we grow up in – and, quite unknown to us, we carry these limitations with us throughout our lives.

You cannot help the circumstances that shaped your beliefs or the manner in which you spend your formative years, but it is important to know that if you are unable to achieve your true potential, there is a problem.

And the first step would be to break out of the comforting “subconsciously well known” zone of this framework and get creative about imagination.

Mistake No 2 – Confusion between Imagination and Manifestation

Manifestation is often confused as imagination of your reality. This is both right AND wrong.

Manifestation has THREE components –

(a) Imagination
(b) Intention and
(c) Energy.

It is NOT the first part which is important. The second, that is, the intention is much more important than the first and the third part, i.e. the ENERGY is the MOST important.

Many of us who try and practice manifestation from DIY books and from people who do not guide well, end up being disillusioned when their manifestations do not work.

All this is actually logical and sequential. First you have to imagine – and imagine it right. Then you have to make a positive intent, and follow it up with bringing energy into this intent.

And last but not the least; do not expect miracles on day one- practice regularly.

The SUPER one Minute Meditation

The world around us is moving at a very fast pace; with rapid changes that we are physically and mentally are not equipped to handle. This naturally takes a toll on her health sooner or later.

We need to slow down a bit but that is not so easy.

So how do we achieve this?

Thankfully there ARE solutions that we can do to overcome this. One of them is meditation. Now, someone amongst you might say that it is not a simple thing to do either! After all, doesn’t it involve hours of sitting silently and in any case, the mind becomes restless too.

Yes, that’s very true. Therefore, I am taking this opportunity to inspire you to create just a small pause in your life by doing my “One minute meditation” a few times every day. Surely, it is possible to spare just a minute, maybe three times a day? This is adequate to rejuvenate your body and mind and will raise your energy levels by practicing regularly.

Here is how you go about it.
  • Find a spot where you will be undisturbed for just ONE minute.
  • Sit on a chair or ground with your back remaining straight (You can lie down flat on your back too)
  • Close your eyes and focus on your breathing.
  • Count SEVEN breaths backwards every time you inhale and exhale.
  • Remember, you have to just count. Do NOT try to force breath more or less than your normal self.
  • Breathe in, in your mind say 7, and hold your breath a moment before you breathe out.
  • Repeat and while taking in the next breath, in your mind say 6…. And so on till 1 and then zero.
  • Practice this thrice a day or whenever you feel the need.
  • Try it now.
This is the most beneficial if done once every morning and night and if you want to do more, do so when you want a boost to your energy level or to clear up your thinking. This will help you reach a higher vibration and harness your power to not only meet the various commitments and challenges of life but also will be very helpful in achieving a happy disposition and positive results in all your endeavors.

Letting go of love…..

​Today I am feeling very low.


Why?

Because I developed hatred for someone I loved dearly till yesterday.


Now, before you jump to conclusions hear me out. 

We love from our heart, right?

Wrong! 


Actually, we love first from our mind. Then it gets transmitted to the heart.
The problem is that when we love from the heart it is unreasonably fixated. When we love from mind, it is realistic. It considers all factors and only then decides to put that spark in the heart.

Once in the heart, it remains etched into permanency till… it is so broken that it goes back into the mind, which throws it off.

Till yesterday, despite all the signals I kept ignoring, because that desire kindled somewhere in the corner of my heart. Though I knew that the time had moved on… I believed we could still make it work.

Till yesterday.

After years of trying to convince about how truly deep my love was but when we met yesterday my heart, my mind, my sense of touch, smell and hearing AND my intuitive sixth sense all came together… And I guess the message came loud and clear.

My heart let go of that deep feeling and sent it to my mind to analyze. In a way I guess the subconscious part of the mind had already known it; and it was now that the conscious mind analyzed and, in a way, approved the break up and decided to let go.

I am so surprised and as I write this. I am wondering whether this is just a transient feeling of anger. And I know that while there is anger, and sadness, the circle is complete.

A crack in the heart…. I will bear it as a remembrance of wonderful times we shared together; experiencing the most beautiful feeling that is so rare.
I used to love… I have lost.

I had collected so many pictures over the past years-  and would often look at them wonderfully his beautiful everything was. Today, I deleted them all.

Time has come to forget and move on.

I am sad, and wonder if there would be another such phase ever in my life again.
​

Who knows? At the moment, I just want to sleep….

​Using Reiki to Heal Relationships

Reiki is an effective tool for nurturing and creating happy relationships in our lives.

What is a relationship? How do you define it?

In reality, Relationship is a bond of energy between a set of people. Once you recognize this fact, it is easy to understand how Reiki (the universal energy) can serve as a channel for making these bonds stronger. In absence of the flow, the bonds become weaker and there are tensions.
We can achieve amazing results by directing Reiki to pass freely between these bonds.

So what are the reasons for imbalances in any relationship?

In my practice, I have found that the maximum resistance to this flow of energy comes due to power issues. The other reasons are fear and lack of confidence, compassion as well as the feeling of self righteousness.
Therefore, identifying these areas or the reasons for imbalance is the first step as far as using Reiki for healing it is concerned. You need to focus on the action of identifying these areas.

Suggested Procedure for healing
  • Select an object which signifies the relationship. It should be something that connected the individuals concerned.  You may choose gifts exchanged earlier, the joint photographs, crystals, etc. This would help in focusing the Reiki energy as you work on it.
  • Make an affirmation and place it in the Reiki Box next to this object.
  • If you have Citrine crystals, place one in each direction of the Reiki box. You can also place pure white pearls. (But in case you do not have any, just go ahead with your further practice; it will work just as fine).
  • Create an intent and start your Reiki Healing practice on the object while at the same time, visualizing the individuals together and their energy fields merging smoothly
  • Draw the Reiki symbols over the object and let the Reiki energy flow freely. Visualize the aura of the individuals and scan it. Follow it up by cleaning the blocked areas.
  • Pass Reiki for at least 3 minutes (if possible for 7 minutes) on the merged heart chakras
  • Seal the auras with Divine Love, Healing and the power symbol and close with AOG
You will see a change taking place within a few days as the perspectives shift. The acceptance levels will increase and the most important change that would take place would be that the need to control will disappear.
Once the main cause of friction is removed, it will forge a bond of love.

As Reiki practitioners, never forget that Reiki always produces positive results, and no prayer will ever go Explain this to the persons you give Reiki at the start of the session.

Sex and Spirituality: An odd cocktail?

Do Sex and Spirituality go together?

THIS is a topic that does come up in mind sometimes.

Yesterday during attunements, one of my students brought up the topic of his inhibition about losing his sex drive after he took to the path of spirituality. 
It scared him, he said, because he was just  31.

I asked him how he had even thought of such a thing; and he brought up THIS  topic he had read online.

Such notions are rampant and those who are enlightened should pay no heed to it.

“Reiki is a pure energy that does no harm. So how could anyone even think this way?” asked his colleague, who had accompanied him for the initiation.

These problems however CAN arise in their normal course due to hormonal imbalances, psychological impact (of such news), weakness due to any other latent sickness, inhibitions, etc. These issues are totally unconnected but since they coincide with Reiki practice, sometimes they may create a doubt in the mind.

It is best to disregard such feelings.

To the contrary, Reiki can actually make changes of another kind. That is, awakening the dormant libido. For this, it is best to focus on Reiki treatment on the Root Chakra and the Third Eye Chakra.

Having full faith in the Reiki healer can bring about miraculous changes in such situations.
